Furthermore, everyone was positive that Mr. Fantasy was Apa’s alter ego. Fans advanced their theory by pointing out that the two appear to have matching tattoos.

In a lengthy video posted on his Instagram on Wednesday, KJ Apa accused the musician of copying his picture (see below). The performer spoke in a solemn tone:
“I didn’t think it needed to be addressed, therefore I haven’t talked about it in a while. But now that it’s starting to have a big influence on my personal life, I feel obliged to talk about it. I wouldn’t typically share anything like this on social media. But I feel forced to now that it’s negatively affecting both my work and me. Recently, a person who completely stole and mistreated my image created a music video with some of my closest friends. And I think everyone knows who I’m talking about.”

KJ Apa didn’t mention Mr. Fantasy by name, but it was obvious who he was talking about—especially because the singer had just released the music video for his new song, “Do Me Right.” Celebrities who made fleeting appearances in the movie included Madelaine Petsch, Lili Reinhart, and Camila Mendes, KJ Apa Riverdale co-stars.
