American fashion publicist Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy was born in White Plains, New York, on January 7, 1966, and passed away in the vicinity of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, on July 16, 1999. She first gained national attention in the early 1990s when she started dating John F. Kennedy Jr. Her future spouse was the son of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and U.S. President John F. Kennedy.
